Drum wont stop spinning

Hello,
I have a LG DLE3733W Dryer which is about 2 years old. A few weeks ago the dryer started doing something bizarre… the drum wont stop turning even after the program has completed. The only way to stop it is to unplug the dryer itself (its electric not gas), the moment you plug it in again the drum begins spinning even before you press the power button on the front of the unit.

I studied the service manual intensely, and came to the conclusion that it must be the centrifuge switch on the motor. I purchased a replacement motor, and installed it today. When I plugged the dryer in, it started spinning right away again. At this point im not sure what to do…

I put the dryer into diagnostic mode, and get the following codes right off the bat (no pressing the start button at all)…

1U:01
18:E8

The CHK FILTER light is also on perpetually once you turn the unit on.

Can anyone tell me with certainty what is wrong here so I can figure out the correct part to purchase, and fix this thing once and for all?

Thanks,
Rick

My Maytag is doing the same thing. It started doing it last night after I tried to dry a load. When I hit the start button I herd what sounded like a lot of change falling through the machine and than it just lost all power. It blew a breaker. I reset the breaker and now the dryer spins all the time, no heat it just spins. I tried to go throught the setting and starting a cycle and everything seems to work as it should except the fact the thing wont stop spinning untill I unplug it or open the door.

Did you ever end up figuring out what was wrong with your? If so what was the problem and how did you fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Paul
