Dryer drum contact with blower assembly after replacing bearing

I recently had to replace the blower assembly on my dryer and went ahead and replaced the bearing (ordered the kit) while the drum was off. I replaced the bearing and reseated the drum. I have two concerns.

  1. It appears the drum is in contact with the blower assembly. Is this normal? It seemed to be the consistent with what I saw in the video but wanted to verify.

  2. The drum does not feel securely seated in the bearing when I rotate it. I connected the front support and reconnected the belt to the motor but the drum still does not seem to rotate smoothly. Will this imbalance be corrected when I connect the door to the dryer and align the drum with the felt glides?

Thank you!!!
