This dryer wont run but if the timer is set the heater element stays on even if the door is open. You have to set it to off to get it the heater element to go off
I worked on one last week like this. The heater element was shorted to it’s frame. Remove the rear dust cover (unplug dryer) Remove the 2 screws on the element and get it off there. Check it for shorted from either terminal to frame. The white skinny fuse is probably blown. This one is tied into the door switch.
With the heater shorted to frame the large red wire coming off the main terminal goes directly into the heater. When you turn on the dryer the shorted heated comes alive even though the motor is not running. I believe you have a shorted heater element. Replace it and party on!
