My Mom’s basement got water in it and when I showed up the dryer sounded like a buzzer going off super loud. The fire department had to shut the circuit breaker off (it never tripped for whatever reason). Now when I turn the circuit breaker on it makes a click sound and when I press start it just hums. I have allowed the dryer to dry out for about 5 days so I am wondering if the electronics are fried.
Also, is it worth the price of having a repairman come out to take a look at it, or will it cost as much as a new dryer to do so.
