Dryer--No heat, continuity tests ok...what next?

(guessing on the age–have no clue of the actual age.)

I’m told that the heat levels seemed to be the same, regardless of the temperature setting. Then the heat output started to get lower and lower over the course of a couple of weeks, then started blowing cold air.

Dryer motor, blower, etc run as usual. Strong airflow out of the exhaust vent.

Timer advances through cycle, shuts off as it’s supposed to do.

No heat.

Flipped circuit breaker (slowly) several times.

Continuity tests passed:
–heating element
–thermal fuse
–high limit thermostat
–cycling thermostat
–thermal cutoff

Still no heat–heating element assembly is not generating any heat. (test run for 2-3 minutes while disconnected from exhaust hose, cannot feel any heat when I put my hand on the heating element assembly)

What’s next?

2009 model. Unplug dryer, set timer for normal timed dry cycle, check continuity between timer terminals C and A. Replace timer if not good. If good, could be motor switch. You can operate the motor centrifugal switch manually and check continuity on the terminals where the two red wires connect. This switch completes the heater circuit when motor is running.

Well, this is a bit embarrassing…it appears that the selector switch wires had jiggled loose. Reseated them, and decided to test run before doing anything else–we now have heat!
