Dryer Pain

Hi Guys ,i am in need of help ,my dryer stops after a couple of hours of running ,i change the thermal it worked for 2 hours again ,i change cycle thermostat and the thermal fuse, and check all other fuses and switchs all are good ,any suggeston to help me solve this problem:confused:

The only thing I can think of is the motor is shutting off on the thermal limit BUILT INTO IT. Make sure thet there is not alot of lint in the motor.

My Maytag washer goes through it’s normal wash cycle, but when it is supposed to stop it just keeps going through it’s extra spin cycle.
When we try to turn it off, the door stays locked unless we unplug it for a few minutes, then plug it back in. I tried replacing the timer, but still had the same problem.
Can anyone help???
Thanks

Hi Alan

Unfortunately, I think you problem is in your control board, I say unfortunately because it is an expensive part. Here is the replacement board.

Also, if you have not had or you have not yourself replaced the wax motors in your machine you should (must!!) do so at the same time.

Here is the service manual on your machine (yes it says MAH 3000 but yours is an updated version of that machine.

You will have to decide if you want to try the fix or get a new machine (or even live with it the way it is,if you do replace the wax motors)

Good luck.
