Could be a dirty/malfunctioning vent system vent.
Need more info.
My door on my Whirlpool DU8OCWDB3 is leaking pretty badly mostly coming from the left side of the door. Since I am a novice any advice as to what part I should be looking at to replace. The seal in the door looks a little flat is that where I should start? Any help would be deeply appreciated
Yes,
The seal was the problem. I tried to get a new part however, they are out of stock. I took the old seal out and soaked it in warm water with a little dish soap. I rubbed the seal dry and replaced it. I was able to work the seal to cover the entire opening and it worked like a champ. After a couple of uses the seal shrunk again. I have to rework the seal every couple of uses until a new seal becomes available for purchase.
Thank you for your help.

Real Simple. Down on the bottom of the dryer front on each side, right under the creavace is a phillips head screw. Take them out, and the grab the front about a foot off the bottom and pull the bottom of the front toward you, and once you get it at a 45 degree angle, the top will drop out. That is how you put it back to. Then take the wires off the door switch and remember where they go. Once you get that off, you need to take the blower housing off. There are two 5/16th screws that hold the left side on, and two on the right side, and then remove the whole blower housing, and clean it out. I guess you got it from here. Do you know how to get to the heating element as well?
