Sounds like the thermal fuse has blown, Item 5 Section 4

Note that it comes with a hi-limit thermostat so both the fuse and the hi-limit should be replaced. The high limit should regulate the temperature and the thermal fuse should not blow unless there is a problem with it or a grounded element.

Also check the following before replacing the fuse:

  1. Grounded element. The element either sags or breaks touches the case and it then runs on high without any thermostat regulation. Sometimes you can see this but best way to check is with a meter.
Remove both wires from the heating element. Measure the heater should be about 10 ohms. Then measure from each heater connector to the case/frame both should be open (infinite ohms)
  2. Check the drum belt.
  3. Clean and check your vent system.
  4. Check that the lint filter is not coated with fabric softener residue.
