I keep hearing about a thermal fuse but I don’t see it on the diagram or visibly unless it has a different name and is one of the above.
I’m not sure what I’m missing hear. The dryer is a 2005 and very clean. The heating issue didn’t just gradually get cooler it stopped all of the sudden.
I am attaching the wiring diagram with values written in where I have tested.
If the voltages check out ok at the terminal block, go to the motor and with a screwdriver, work the centrifugal switch back and forth a few times with the dryer unplugged
checked the terminal block and had 122V white + black, white + red, and 245V red + black
Also, I don’t know what the centrifugal switch looks like but my grandparents who gave me the dryer say its still under a service warranty so I’m checking on that.
You need to add a Model Number.
There are a number of different Duets
Also you are in the wrong forum, this is one is for dishwashers.
You will still probably get a reply but have a better chance in the "Washer Repair" forum
Also add any other symptoms re:
Is the unit totally dead? (no lights, no nothin)
Does it do anything?
Does it make any noise at all?
Was any diagnostics done before replacing the control board?
