I have a Whirlpool Gas Dryer Model LGC6848AW1 that will not heat. I randomly replaced the ignitor with a new one, but that did not help.

What is the most likely failed part and how do I go about verifying the failure of that part?

Most likely one of the thermostats on the back behind the rear panel. Remove the wires off each one and test for continuity.
