I have checked the thermal fuse, door switch, and start button with continuity meter and all are good. I’ve also ran 120 volts to the motor and it works fine. Before I spend the $90.00 on the timer switch is there any way that it can be tested with an ohm meter? I’m working with a Roper mod. red4440vq1
Thank you in advance for any help…
Here are your parts

See the attachment for the tech sheet.
Unplug the unit.
Unplug one side of C to B at the timer.
The timer should be set mid cycle of a timed dry with heat setting.
Measure across C to B at the timer, should be 0 ohms.
Be sure to use your meter’s most sensitive scale and short it’s leads together before starting to measure. This tell you if there is any zero offset in the meter.
If it measures OK, then reconnect the wire/s to the timer.
Attach and leave it there, one of your meter leads to L1 on the line cord.
Then work your way back through the motor circuit.
L1 at terminal, should be 0 ohms.
C and B at the timer should be 0 ohms
Both sides of the thermal fuse should be 0 ohms
Motor’s 4M should be 0 ohms.
Motor’s 5M should be a couple ohms (motor’s windings).
W or W-R at start switch, a couple ohms.
BK on the start switch. Infinite ohms when open. A couple ohms when it is pushed.
NO on the door switch, a couple ohms when start switch is pushed.
COM on door switch a couple ohms when door is closed and start switch pressed.
Same applies to Neutral on the terminal strip and the line cord plug.
Thanks for the repley denman,

[LEFT]Between C and B it’s shows as an open. I took a wire and jumped from C to B, plugged it in and pushed the start button and the dryer runs. So I’ve order a new timer switch.
[LEFT]Thanks again for the help.

You are welcome
And thanks for getting back to us. Now when others search for a similar problem they will see what actually worked instead of just suggestions about what could be the cause.
Denman,
Just wanted to thank you again, I finally recieved the timer switch and installed it and the dryed is working great.
Keep up the great work,
