Dryer Won't Heat

A few days ago I started a load in the dryer late at night and about 5 hours later, the dryer was still running. The clothes were dry, but no heat. The next day I put another load in and it ran with no heat. I found on one of your forum thread to check the thermal fuse, cycling thermostat, igniter, flame sensor and gas valve. All seemed to show conductivity or be in the right range of ohms. So my husband put the dryer back together. He then checked the igniter through the peep hole in the front. It lit up (glowed) and the gas ignited the first time, but then on trying it again, no glowing at all. It seems to not work sometimes, but then after opening a shutting the door and starting it again, it glows and ignites. Do you think replacing the ignitor with solve the problem?

Thanks,
Andrea

So, since we got the igniter to work, I put some clothes in to dry. It was drying for a while and then the heat quit again. I tried to stop and start and stop the dryer to get it to ignite again, but now, it glows, but doesn’t ignite the gas so then it goes out. All the while, the drum is spinning.

Sounds like faulty gas valve solenoid coils. Common problem and easy to replace, however I cannot find any information on the model number you provided so I can’t advise on part numbers.

Eric

Thanks! Got the part today and it seems to have solved the problem!
