My Kenmore Electric Dryer will run when you push the start button but will stop when you release the button. If the button is held in it will run for just a few seconds and then stop even though the button is being held in. Once the dryer stops, it won’t start again for a few minutes. Thought it was a start button problem - but replaced the start button and the problem is still there. What should I check next?

You got a bad motor … Replacing the motor will solve your problem.
