I have a gas range (the oven is electric). Model GE XL44. When I turn on the oven, after couple of minutes (before or after pre-heating) it shuts down the oven and circuit breaker trips. When I reset the circuit breaker and turn on the oven the same thing happens after couple of minutes
I tried to replace the circuit breaker with a new one (range 30 amp), but the same thing happened. Surprisingly, when I use a different electric outlet it works without any problem.
The oven used to work fine for that electric outlet (for over 5 years). It started happening recently.
Most probably the problem is with that particular electric outlet or may be with the oven (may be control unit). Any suggestion on how to troubleshoot the porblem is appreciated. [my skill level is beginner]. Thanks.
