I have a GE side by side refrigerator model gss22ufpaww. The refrigerator wasn’t cooling and freezer part had icicles it from the melting ice. I read the advice and thought it was a defrost problem because there was ice build up on the freezer coils and so I bought a new defrost heater. Installed the defrost heater and the freezer was getting colder very slowly, but the refrigerator still wasn’t cooling at all. After installing the defrost heater, We also noticed the coils starting build up ice again. We also installed a new thermostat. Still didn’t solve the cooling problem. After reading more, we noticed that there wasn’t air circulating or the fan running on the freezer part so we ordered another part the evaporator fan motor assembly. We installed this part and still the evaporator fan still won’t run. Does anybody have any other ideas what could be causing this problem??
Thank you for any suggestions/help!
