I recently replaced a broken control knob for one of my burners on my Frigidaire stove…Apparently during the repair, I messed something else up…When I turned my breaker back on, everything appeared to be working fine. The clock was flashing like a power failure occured (which it did from the breaker being off)
I set the clock…and everything appeared fine until I turned on the oven…I hit "Bake" set the temperature and the oven came on…30 seconds later the stove starts Beeping and "F-20 Err" starts flashing on the stove.
The Burners still work on top (even the one which I replaced the control knob for)…I can’t find information about the F-20 error code for this stove.
Thanks for any help you can give me on my next steps.
First disconnect/reconnect the plus
Check them for loose or dirty pins and receptacles.
Check that none of the pins have backed out or have poor crimping.
If the above does not do it, you may want to try to clean them. Use electronics contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush. Just be sure all the solvent has evaporated before reconnecting.
Next remove the boards and wiggle the connector on the board, you may have a bad solder joint. Sometimes you can see the solder point move, other times it just looks bad ( a dull color or pin holes)
I checked my connections and everything appears fine…I noticed that once I returned power to my oven…I did not hit any buttons, except I did set the clock…about 2 minuts later…I got the f-20 Error again…Do I need to change the EOC?
I would double check all the things I listed earlier as I have seen a fair number of EOC replacements that did not solve the problem. Unfortunately I did not see any one common cause or repair for this.
