F11 code

Hi I have a Whirlpool Duet washer with a F11 code. I replace the three relays on the CCU. I ck the MCU and found that it was burnt out on the board. I replaced it with the updated board. I still have a F11 code please help pretty frustrated. I have a volt meter, if you can tell what to ck and how to I will. Any help will be greatly appreciation. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon. Email is mikecrwll@yahoo.com Thank you once again: Mike

:confused::confused::mad::frowning: Would like to be:):):):D:cool: LOL

What you have is the catch-all Whirlpool error, it means there is something wrong in the electronics or the wiring and we (Whirlpool) don’t know what it is.

If your MCU was visibly burned I suspect a short somewhere in the wiring, or a bad CCU board. I don’t know that you can repair the CCU like you tried to do.

OK, great sound like I might be in for it. Well anyhow I need some kinda numbers for my volt meter to ck the motor and need to know what wires to ck so I can pin point the problem. I will let you know that I can hear the relays working on the CCU and the MCU. I’m assuming that means there is some kind of communication between the two boards. I also hear the door lock working. So with that in mind I don’t know if that would help you with any info that you can give me as in what we can do to try to pin point the problem. Also I will let you know I preformed the diagnostic test on the machine where it runs threw all of the cycles. It fails after a couple of seconds. It does not matter what cycle it is in weather it be the fill, drain, or spin cycle it fails. I hope this will help you a little so that maybe you can help me. I really don’t want to throw parts at it, my pockets are not very deep. So that in mind trying to ck the motor would be my first step in the process of elimination. Once again I really appreciation any help you give me. Thanks Mike.

There should have been tech notes under the top cover that would give you some readings to check, but in the end I think you are just going to have to try replacing parts and see if that will fix things.

I doubt that the motor is the issue, the motors in these machines are the one good thing about them.

If you purchase parts from this site (no I don’t work for this site and am not affiliated with it, I am a volunteer) and they are not needed or don’t fix the problem you can return them, even the electronic parts.

OK, so you say the motor is probably good. Well I still think it would be a good idea to ck it right? All I would need is the continuity numbers for me to ck the motor and wiring. If you could please provide that for me so i can make sure I’m ordering the right thing, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you once again mike.

PS: By chance with the experience you have, do you happen to know what goes wrong with the CCU, if it happens to be my CCU in this case. I’m pretty sure if I new what went wrong with it I could probably fix it.
