fan motor replacement

I ordered a fan motor only replacement part #AP4140906 and two new gromments, instead of the complete fan motor and housing, for my 2004 Samsung model RS2630SH. My ? is how detailed of a job this is gonna be or just a simple repacement into the original housng to restore this compressor componets cooling gem.

Thanks,
Frank

Frank,

Not that major a repair,

The best way, is to remove the whole assembly,

Be careful, there’s a lot of sharp edges,

And that housing is a "snap" fit into the base of the compartment.

The condenser Fan is located in the middle of
machine compartment. It cools down the subcondenser
and the compressor.

 1. Lift up the rib under the motor support.
 2. Pull the support motor.

Not a lot if information from the service manual.

Good Luck,

Thanks again Joe the new motor was a breeze to replace as you had stated in your first reply, The fan blade was the only problem I had and after removing the spring clip and putting a squirt of wd-40 on the shaft it finally slid off without breaking. The new Samsung fridge fan motor is now running like the new one it is. Thanks so much
