Let me explain what is happening. We had the ice maker itself replaced a a few years ago. It worked fine until recently. One day we noticed the ice bucket had filled with water and froze into a huge block, some water had actually leaked onto the floor. We thawed everything, shut the water off and turned the icemaker off. We waited a few days and turned it back on. The icemaker cycled a half a dozen times then overnight did the same thing again, froze up again fillling the bucket with water which ultimately froze into another block. Perhaps the fill tube is freezing up? Why would the ice maker work fine for several cycles prior to leaking/freezing up again if the ice maker went bad again?
