During a wash cycle in both drawers our dishdrawer started beeping and displayed ‘F9’ error in the bottom drawer and ‘U4’ in the top.
After some fiddeling (cut power etc) to no avaial, the local authorized repair center was called. A week later the repair professional showed up and declared a new controller was needed. 2 months later it is still on back order apparently IF we can get a hold of somebody on the phone (very rare).
I got my hands on some manuals and did some trouble shooting:
Bottom unit was first to show F9
Actuators/lid on bottom unit are down and will not release.
BOTH drawers will show ‘F9’ if they are the only or first to be plugged in when power is applied
BOTH will show ‘U4’ (other drawer is broken) if they are powered on while hte other drawer is powered and showing F9 error.
I am unable to enter into diagnostics mode on either drawer, holding start/pause+lock only seems to lock the drawer.
Even after 2 months there was heavy moisture on the bottom of the unit, not nearly enough to trip the flood detector but lots of moisture.
Diagnostics manual suggest the ‘mains filter unit’ controls actuators, flood warning and could be at fault for F9 errors. Loads of other things could cause F9, but it seems this unit could do it for both drawers at once.
Is this the proper diagnose? If so what is the part number I need for DD24DCTX6V2, i can only find 529849P which seems to be for a DD603, is that the same part?
Thanks for any help!
