Food freezes and ice maker not working

The refrigerator side is freezing up and I have the temp set at its lowest position. Curiously, the ice maker quit working around the same time. Freezer otherwise seems to be working correctly. Any way to check t-stat with multimeter? Does the control unit control both refrig temp and ice maker?

Another unrelated issue is the ice dispenser runs non-stop. I had to unplug the front switches to get it to stop. Bad switch board?

Most likely the problem is a bad damper control (#115 on the Replacement parts for FRG GLRS234ZAQ2 | AppliancePartsPros.com. It comes as a part of the control box kit what makes the repair more reliable.

diagramI would check the micros witches (#38A on the ) first. If there is nothing wrong then the problem most likely is a bad power board.

Gene.

P.S. Make sure the water filter is up to date.

I was afraid of it being the control box $$$.

The ice maker quit and I think I found the problem. When the fridge side froze, the coil of water line froze not letting water get to the maker.

As for the ice dispenser, I already changed the power board so the micro switch board is next… maybe. With this amount of money it maybe time for a new fridge. This model has really not impressed me.
