Hi,
I have a Samsung side by side rs2555sl fridge.
Prior to today, it seemed to be working ok (no strange noises or other misbehavior).
Today the fridge was warm (room temp or above) and the freezer was in the process of thawing.
The unit still has power. The only noise it is making sounds like a very quiet and low hum. There is no other fan or compressor noises.
When I was emptying out the freezer compartment, a new batch of ice was released. not sure if it was leftover or just made but this seemed strange to me since everything else was already partially defrosted.
So my question is, I have read the common causes (evap fans, start relay, thermistor, etc…)
Instead of just ordering one of each of these and then troubleshooting and returning what is not needed, is there anything else I can do (quickly) to narrow it down based upon what I have observed?
Thanks.
