The freezer and refrigerator will not cool. The lights work. It does not appear that any fans are working either.

Sounds like you may be stuck in a defrost cycle is this has been longer than half an hour.
Try unplugging the unit for a couple minutes to see if it will rest/start up.
Then if it happens again I would replace the main control board.
