Well, I’m happy to report that after 24 hours, the freezer is holding between 0.5 and 3.8 degrees (with the setting on 5). Much better than the -21 below it was trying to maintain. Plus, no beeping from the control board!
It does bring up a question as to why the self diagnostics said the freezer thermistor was good, when apparently it was not.
