Freezer leaking out of bottom

Hello,

This is my first post ever! I have a Maytag MSD2456DEW and I have seen a problem starting to happen. My freezer has as auto defroster, but water keeps freezing at the bottom and then eventually melting and leaking on the floor after a day or two. Any ideas? I tried to shut off the freezer and manually defrost it but it quickly started freezing again in the bottom. Is there somethng blocking the drain?

You may have a frozen evp defrost drain.

Thank you for your response. Is that located under the fridge or do I have to remove the back panel of the freezer to get to it?

You have to remove the back panel of the freezer and remove all the ice out of the pan under the coils. Once the ice is removed use a turkey baser to force hot water down the drain until water flows freely down the drain. After the drain is clear mix baking soda with water and pour it down the drain to prevent this from happing again any time soon. Refrigerator Leaking Repair Guide

Awesome thanks! Stupid question, when you say take the back freezer panel off, are you talking outside the fridge completely or the back inside the freezer compartment? You guys are awesome!

The inside back panel of the freezer.
