Freezer not getting cold enough

I’ve got a Sears Kenmore upright freezer that gets cold but wont freeze. The compressor seems to be running constantly, but the door seals seem to be just fine. It’s been empty and turned off for about 6 months but when I turned it on a few days ago it never got cold enough to freeze water despite the fact that I’ve set the external digital temp control to the coldest setting. At one point in time it seemed that the temp control locked up (I couldn’t change the temp), but unplugging and plugging the appliance back in seemed to solve that problem. One thing I did notice when it was running 6 months ago: The compressor seemed to be running constantly, however the food in the freezer remained frozen. The unit isn’t more than 2 years old and I seem to recall the compressor running almost constantly since the day we got it. Could this be a faulty temp control or perhaps a Freon issue?

As the dryer motor is operating regardless of if the interface has been activated or not, there is certainly a failure in the control 137070890NH. This could also be the cause of the dryer not heating.
