I did some troubleshooting because my Freezer had ice buildup all the back wall and the refrigerator was not cool and felt warm to me. My milk was not cold as it’s supposed to be and seems to be it’s ~barely~ cold enough to keep the milk cold.
[SIZE=2]I just replaced /SIZE parts in my Kenmore Freezer.
(1). Defrost Heater ("U" shaped) Coil.
(2). Thermostat DefrostControl or "Defrost Thermostat".
Upon removing the back panel (from the freezer) the coils were covered with ice and I had to melt the ice with a hairdryer so I could install the Defrost Heater (U-shaped) coil.
I replaced the Thermostat Defrost Control…and it was not easy to put on because the butt-connectors wouldn’t "grab" the wire and I had to try to mash the butt-connectors to hold the (2) joining wires. After (3) attempts…it was finally connected.
Now that my Freezer ("Humpty Dumpty") is back together again…the Freezer works fine (so far…no ice buildup on the back wall…but that can take days for the ice to form on the back wall)…NOW it seems the Refrig. is STILL NOT getting cold. Grrrrrrr
