Freezer's Door rubber sealant broken

My lab’s six foot freezer needs to be deiced every month. Frost builds up throughout the freezer very quickly. It looks like part of the door’s rubber sealant does not sufficiently get "sucked" onto the freezer when the door closely. Consequently, air enters the freezer whenever the door is closed.
Is there a way to fix this? Can I buy replacement sealant? or a magnetic mechanism to suck the door closer to the freezer?

I assume it is an upright.

Check the bottom of the door, they usually have a plastic cam. The door rides up and then down slightly on this cam to close it properly.

Sometimes a light coating of vaseline or lithium grease on the hinge side frame helps. This lets the gasket slide instead of catching and twisting.

Make sure the machine is level or tilted slightly to the back.

A make and model might help.

Thank you for your quick response. Yes, it is an upright and no, I don’t have the make or model because I’m not in the lab right now. Actually, the rubber door sealant is only permanently impressed in one location of the freezer (at the top where we usually grab the door to open the freezer; there is no handle). The rest of the door closes completely onto the freezer at the other locations. It is only at this one area where the rubber doesn’t completely suck on to the freezer. So, I don’t think that the door is having problems closing. It is just the sealant that is permanently impressed. What can I do?
