OK so I don’t know how to do this forum but here’s a try.
last yr my fridge was to warm, my husband was out of work so we didn’t fix it for a long time, finally paid 400 for a repair guy to fix the "baffle control" that controls the baffles opening and closing from the freezer. gradually the fridge started getting too cold and occasionally freezing things. I keep a thermometer in the back b/c of the probs. the temp would often be between 20-30 degrees so I had to be careful what I put where in there. we went on a vacation last week and when we came home everything was FROZEN SOLID…temp was around 5-10 degrees. Had the repair guy come again and he says now the temp control panel is out and he will repair for another $365…does this sound right and could I do this myself with a part ordered from the website?
FYI water line also seemed to be frozen b/c the door dispenser also not working, turned off the whole thing for about 6 hrs, now back on and not as cold but still colder than the temp is set at…
Thanks,
