I have a Frigidaire double oven (PLEB27T8CCB). A few months back the bake element of the lower oven stopped working. A couple of months later, the same thing happened in the upper oven. Broil works fine and there are no error codes on the display.
I have tested both elements and the Ohms are exactly what they should be. I also hooked the positive wire of the lower element to the functioning negative wire of the upper element and got a steady 240v which indicates to me that the problem is downstream of the negative wire of the bake element. The wiring diagram shows a relay downstream which is independent from the upper element, but I don’t what it is, what it does, or where it is.
My troubleshooting seems to indicate that the problem is not with the element, control panel or thermal switch. Can anyone please help with my mystery?
