I have replaced nearly everything in this dryer for various reasons, but this one has me puzzled. When the dryer comes to a stop, the last revolution of the drum sounds like a couple of logs falling off the pile. The same clunk happens when initially turning it on. Otherwise it runs fine.
Question. Is there anything between the inside and outside of the drum that could have loosened to make this noise? I can reproduce the noise by quickly turning the drum by hand.
Suggestions?
Have you checked the vain inside the drum to see if it’s loose?
Is the vain the same as the baffle? If so I did notice that they only had two screws holding them on through the outside of the drum, (the middle screws were missing), but the inside pieces didn’t seem loose.
