Frigidaire FGQ1442ES0 flaky control board

My mom’s Frigidaire FGQ1442ES0 is acting very flaky-- it beeps and lights flash sometimes at random, waking them up in the middle of the night. Sometimes just touching the cabinet (not even the controls) makes the lights flash (!!). She has reported that it doesn’t heat on low anymore either. She’ll be doing some experiments today but it sounds like the control board is dying. Is there anything else it would be? Replacement control boards (Mfg Part# 134484212) are still available and replacing it doesn’t seem difficult from the videos I’ve seen but I don’t want to swap out the control board and not fix the problem so I haven’t ordered one yet. Help!
