My refrigirator has stop cooling. This is a stand alone unit. The freezer is a separate stand alone unit. Everything appears to be running. Both fans running, compressor running. I took the inside panel out and there was a little frost on the Heat exchange that comes in from the bottom left corner and runs to the evaporator. The evaporator had no frost on it. Any help with what is the problem would be appreciated. It is about 20 months old.
Here are your parts

Sounds like you are low on freon or there is a plug in the sealed system.
Note : The test of the frost on the evaporator coils must be done after the unit has run several hours without a defrost cycle.

Check out the warranty.
Since the unit is only 20 months old it should be covered under warranty.
Usually when units are past warranty it makes more sense to replace the unit as you need a pro and this repair is expensive Also there is no use refilling the unit with freon unless the leak is located and repaired.
thanks for the info.
