Need help !
Replacing a drive belt from a Frigidaire washer (model # FWT445GES2).
Am I just suppose to stretch the belt from the drum drive pulley to the main drive motor,
and where exactly on the motor is it suppose to sit ?
Looked easier before I got started, I guess I’m going to need to stretch this belt
about 2 inches more than it normally is.
thanks in advance
Start the belt on the motor pulley and "roll" it on to the large pulley. There should be enough give in the belt to allow you to do this.
Make sure you have the right belt, here is the one APP sells for this machine.

It turns out in this case that this was a 2 person job(at least for me).
There didn’t seem to be enough give in the belt, so I recruited the strongest
guy I know to start the rap around process from the motor to the drum drive pulley, even he was having a problem, so I added a pair of hands to help the
process, and that did the trick.
Of course when I finished the job your e-mail had just arrived during our celebratory beer.
I don’t know how one person could do this by themselves unless they were a trained pro.
Thanks for getting back to me so promptly.
There is a lot a variation in the give in the manufacture of these belts, although I do not know why. I have had your situation and I have had a situation where it goes right on.
Glad you got it going and thanks for the update.
