Dear Sirs,
I have a situation with my RF386PXGQ stove. The right front 1200 W burner was left on while boiling some water. Once I noticed it was left on I turned it off and now it will not work. Taking my ohm meter I did a little checking and thought that it was this limiter, so I ordered a new limiter. I put the new limiter in but it did not make a difference it still doesn’t work. I removed the element and with a magnifying glass I examined to see if there was any breaks in there was not. With my ohm meter I tested the two wires going into the top of the limiter and it showed 245 V. Checked the rest of the burners that worked and they also showed 245 V. However the one that I am working on does not show 245 V coming out of the element the way that the others do. I took the 1200 W burner from the left rear and switched it with the right front the one that didn’t work. The one that didn’t work once it was put on the left rear, works. The left rear that did work once put on the right front, does not work. When I turned the switch on and check the top of the limit where the black and brown wires are it shows 242- 245 V. I am baffled as what to do next, any suggestions? Your help would be much appreciated.
Thanks so much, look forward to hearing from you.
Steve
