frozen freezer warm fridge

1.- Defrost Heater replaced. Old one didn’t have continuity.

2.- Defrost timer manually set to defrost cycle. Heater did not get hot. So I replaced defrost thermostat (store salesman sold me a cheaper and different brand) Defrost timer set to defrost cycle, heater got hot again for about 20 minutes then went to cold cycle!

3.- Defrost thermostat worked for 3 days, but eventually ice built up took over and the problem come back.

4.- I bought from you guys a genuine thermostat thinking that this must be the problem… I installed it and tested it by turning timer to defrost cycle but heater didn’t get hot. (I tried it with and without ice)

5.- D. Timer and both fans are working fine. Freezer gasket look in good condition. Any ideas what could be causing the problem?

HI.

Turn the defrost timer to defrost, unplug the unit and check continuity from cold control to the defrost timer leg#2.
No continuity - check the harness, connections, all defrost components. According the wiring diagram there is the defrost fuse inline with defrost heater and thermostat.

Thank you. Post the results.
