I have not been able to find what is causing our dryer to not heat up. Based on a lot of the forum questions here, I have tested the continuity of the thermal fuse, cycling thermostat, flame sensor, igniter, and the gas valve coils, and everything has tested fine. I replaced the gas valve coils 2 years ago, as well as the belt 4 yrs ago. The gas coils had the same spec values when I tested them as they did 2 yrs ago, so I thought that was the fix, but the new ones have the same values and do not work when installed either. If all these are fine, am I looking at replacing the burner? The dryer came with the house we bought about 6 yrs ago, so I don’t really know how old it is. Is it even worth it to replace the burner at this point, or just buy a new dryer. Not sure how much a new burner is, and whether I feel capable enough to install one, with the gas and all. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Nate
