A friend of mine gave me this Maytag gas dryer about a year ago and it was working just fine when we unhooked it. I didn’t need it at the time but since mine was pretty old I figured since it was free that it couldn’t hurt to have a spare. It has been sitting in my basement unused for about a year until I hooked it up yesterday but, it won’t heat up. It runs fine and I can see the glow from the igniter but no ignition or heat. I rechecked the gas supply line and it is fine and as I said, the dryer runs and the controls work but no heat. What could have gone bad just sitting? Coils, Gas valve? Burner? I’m open to suggestion.
If there is a problem with the cooling system and your fridge is just 3 years old, it should be under the manufacturer warranty and they have to fix it without any charge to you.
I am having somewhat the same problem. The dryer works just fine when you first turn it on then when it is time for the heat to come back on during the cycle there is nothing. The igniter glows for a time then goes out. If I stop the dryer for about 15 minute the restart the heat comes back on, what could be the problem.
firstly if it is the evaporator fan motor , that part costs < $100 … Uline is in Wisconsin. Call them up and find out if there is a factory service center around your area . Nothing on that refrige should cost 1500 for a repair …
We can verily read the oven temperature setting. We have to guess at what we have it set on. We have tried unplugging the oven and plugging it in again, and it did not help. The clock works fine. Over time the oven temperature (red letters) has slowly faded out. What can we do to fix this problem?
