Gas dryer runs but no heat

Similar to other posts that I’ve seen, my GE dryer will run but doesn’t heat up above room temp. A few days prior to this happening I noticed a slight gas smell. I unplugged everything immediately, shut off the gas at the wall, checked the gas line for leaks (found none) and cleaned out the vent duct while that was accessible, then turned the gas back on.
Since then, no gas smell, but no heat at all either. Is this likely a heating coil or something that is easily replaced?
Thanks!

"Ignitor" would be the term. Or, could be a thermal fuse or flame sensor.

Can you operate a meter?

If so, you may call me at ()-****and I will walk you through it on the phone.

Otherwise, you will want to call a pro.
