Kenmore gas range oven will not come on ! The surface ignitor in the oven does glow,however no gas goes into oven.Now when I turn on the broiler the glow bare come on and gas is ignited.So the broiler is fine. Its the oven-when the oven is turned on only the glow bar is on–no gas ?? Thanks, Charles S/N # of range VF53620981
Hi.
Most likely it’s a bad ignitor, even if it’s glowing it may not "pull" 3.25 Amps in order to open the gas valve.
If you have the amp meter, check it.
