Just bought this GE Frontload washer and dryer (on pedestals) used. 5-6 years old.
We put them in my truck on their sides (I believe my first problem).
Unloaded and put them in place, leveled them and tried a load.
Washer works just fine until spin cycle - it makes a very loud clanging noise and shakes (both med and high speed spin). I saw them work at the previous owners house, no noise like this at all.
Today after about the 3rd load it stopped spinning/agitating at all, so I pulled the panels off, the belt had come just off, and was not spinning the tub. There were bits of rubber everywhere from it burning up the belt.
So I know I need a belt, but how do I go about correcting this shaking and noise? I figure something must be out of balance from moving them, so can it be re balanced?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Andrew
Check to make sure your springs are on up top and make sure all your shocks are snapped in place at the bottom. Sorry your unit number is incomplete or spelled wrong i can’t pull up the schematics for your parts. Look inside your door for a complete model number

Pic of Model Number (Maybe the 0 is an O?)
I will have a look at springs and shocks, will it be obvious that they are not attached if they aren’t?
Thanks again
update:
pulled the top cover off, both springs are in place.
Shocks look to be in place correctly.
This pulley is loose, but the nut seems to be in place. Should it be? I think that could have eaten up the belt pretty easy. Going to get a belt today and to clean up all the rubber bits.
eddit: just tightened this up, fairly confident that was my noise. now to find a belt…
