Hello,
I have had a GE gas dryer for about 5 years or so. It still works fine but will intermittently and sometimes continuously make a buzzing noise. It sounds just like the buzzer at the end of a cycle.
I’ve disconnected what I thought was the buzzer attached to the back of the timer module, took the drum out, vacuumed all the ports and the motor. The motor looks fine and there was only a minor buildup of lint in the front panel before the blower.
I turned the bearings which are only the rear plastic one on the back of the drum, the tensioner and the motor spindle. The metal and plastic drum guides on the front look fine.
I’m stuck. Any ideas on what I can do? It really sounds like a buzzer that is in the cabinet somewhere but I didn’t see one.
Thanks in advance.
