GE GTD42GASJ3WW Stops after 10-15 minutes

GTD42GASJ3WW GE Dryer stops after 10-15 minutes. It will not restart by pushing the start button. If we let it sit for another 15 minutes or so, we’ll hear a soft "Click" and the dryer will restart. We’ve cleaned the vents, replaced the cycling thermostat, high temp thermostat and door switch. So far the parts were cheap enough that I was ok with just throwing parts at it given the time it takes to take apart. I’m at a point where I’m thinking it might be the motor.

Like everyone, we are a very busy family and "some" dryer is better than "no" dryer lol.

Anything else anyone can think of before spending $150 or more on a motor?? This dryer is a mix of old and new tech, there’s no dry sensor or other control boards. But, I have a multimeter and tools…any assistance is appreciated.

Hello, The motor is designed to shut off if it overheats. Make sure lint has not built up around the motor.
