have a ge monogram elctronic oven. the book says jkp18g and jkp19g on the it.
What it is doing is as follows: you can turn the oven on or broil and sometimes it will just shut off on it own. i dont believe that the breaker pops. go out and turn the breaker off then on, and then it comes back on. sometimes with a 20 to 30 second period it shuts off, or again after 5 to 10 minutes.
This could be a faulty control board; but I would first check the integrity of the electrical connections. Also make sure you’re getting 240VAC at the outlet, as well as 120VAC between each of the hot legs and the neutral.
so i should check for the 220 power first and then go from there??? do you think it could be the breaker?? also what does a new control board price out for. thanks
Yes. But even if you get 240VAC across the two hot legs, Test to see if you’re getting 120VAC from each of the hot legs to the neutral. All the information I have says the control board is no longer available.
then i would have to replace the whole unit?? ouch
