GE Profile Dryer, when selecting various fabrics to dry the time would adjust and change. For example cottons on high heat, more dry, would take 45 ish minutes on the timer, now only shows 35. Towels would show 55 ish minutes and now only shows 36 minutes for "more dry" "high heat." The clothes also have to be dried twice or on timed dry for at least 60 minutes on high heat.
So I’ve ripped the dryer apart and tested all the sensors and here’s the results of each sensor which I will refer to by color in the pictures i’ve attached.
Heating Coils:
Each show continuity and about 22 Ohms resistance.
Blue Circle Sensor
0 Ohms
Green Circle Sensor
99K Ohms
Red Circle Senor
0 Ohms
Gray Circle Sensor
0 Ohms
Purple Sensor
Room Temperature 100K Ohms
Hair Dryer Blowing On it
Constant decrease but I stopped at 60K Ohms
Moisture Sensor
With dryer running and no damp fabric across bars, showed about 2.18 VDC at the quick disconnect plug.
With dryer running and wet cloth across bars, showed 0.7 VDC at the quick disconnect plug.
Heating Coils Operation
When dryer turns on and on "high heat", the single coil of the 3 comes on for about 2 minutes and off for 2 minutes and so on. Air on discharge feels hot but didnt get a temperature reading.
I didn’t have any wet clothes in there so wasn’t sure if that would cause the other 2 coils to come on.
Air ducts are clean.
So I think I have tested almost everything, anyone got ideas on which sensor is bad?
