GE Profile Harmony won't dry

My dryer is roughly 10 years old. It suddenly stopped drying last week. It tumbles but doesn’t heat up.
Diagnostic mode (pushing "cycle" and "back" button simultaneously) said the Blower was not turning fast enough. I unplugged and plugged it back in. It ran through its systems’ check and found nothing wrong; however, it still did not get hot. This time the diagnostic mode said to replace the intake thermistor, which I did. Still not getting hot, or even warm. Diagnostics, this time, said I needed to replace the heater box. I think I can’t trust the on-board diagnostics. I’ve already wasted $40 on the thermistor and don’t want to spend another couple hundred on parts I don’t need. How do I accurately diagnose the problem and then fix it? Thanks!
