My GE PS123NGNA (Arctic) side-by-side just developed a problem.
The refrigerator and the freezer are cold. However, the temperature setting panel above the refrigerator door does not display. If I try to adjust the temperature, the temps will display (-1 for the freezer and 33 for the refrigerator), I get three beeps, and the display goes off.
Also, the display lights show on the service panel, but I get no water and no ice (though the bin is full, the screw doesn’t turn).
Very likely the problem is a bad main control board. The model number you posted is incorrect/incomplete and I’m not able to provide the correct part number for the control board. Verify and repost it please.
Remove the J4 connector from the main control board and check for 13 VDC between the J4-1 & J4-2, J4-3 & J4-2 and J4-1 & J4-3 pins at the control board. Post the results.
About a week after installing the new control board, the ice maker began making ice. The next day the water and ice delivery System started working.
However, the temperature display atop the door opening still does not function. If I push the "warmer" button, the display reads 111. If I pusher the "colder" button, it reads 222, then changes each time I push it to 333, 444, 555, etc. on both the fridge and freezer readouts.
So, the fridge and freezer are cold, the ice maker and water works, but the display is misbehaving.
