I have a GE refrigerator that will not dispense ice or water. When depressing the lever nothing happense. No clicking sound or anything. The dispenser control board had no lights so I replaced the motherboard. After replacing the mother board the small green selector lights starting working as well as the dispenser light. However, when selecting water or ice nothing happens. No clicking sound or anything. I took apart the dispenser control panel and manually pushed the microswitch while all wiring is still connected and the water and ice work. So, it appears to be a mechanical issue when the lever is depressed. My question is how does the switch get turned on when the lever is depressed. I completely disassembled the dispenser and it is not clear to me how the switch gets turned on by the lever. I can manually push it with a pencil to get water and ice but when everything is assembled and the lever is pushed nothing happens. Is there something on the lever itself that is suppose to depress the microswitch?
