GE Refrigerator Main Board

Hi,
I recently purchased a main circuit board (WR55X10942) from Appliance Parts Pros for a GE side by side refrigerator/freezer M/N GSL25JFPA BS, S/N RF252773.

I am confused with the instructions regarding eliminating the thermistor wire on pin #2 of the J1 connector.
Do I need to eliminate this wire or leave it on?

If the serial number prefix is not listed in the instructions, do not cut the wire.
