My microwave oven will not heat and makes a low humming sound. Took it down from the wall and opened it up, but did not see anything that look damaged or burnt. Doing some reading on the website, I looked at the HV diode, HV capacitor, and magnetron. When measuring the diode (pos to anode, neg to cathode) I get a reading of 0 L on my meter and not any measured resistance in the suggested range (50k to 200k ohms). So I assumed the diode was bad and replaced it. STILL NO HEAT!
What’s next? Do I need to replace the capacitor or magnetron?
